WHAT HAPPENS ON FIRST LAUNCH
01 Ollama is installed and hash verified
02 Keys are generated in the Secure Enclave
03 A wallet is created locally, yours alone
04 You join the swarm and can chat or serve
05 Updates arrive over the swarm, checksum verified, and ask before installing
No account is created because there is no account system. Back up your recovery shares.
Does it phone home?
No. There is no analytics, no crash reporting, and no update ping you have not asked for.
Do I need crypto to start?
Not to run models locally. You only need funds when you route work to a peer, and providers need none at all.
Can I do both?
Yes. Most people chat during the day and leave provider mode on overnight.
